Preparation Instructions:
I would like to thank Sandy from Riverside California for sending in this NYC style buffalo wings recipe. To begin, please take out your deep fryer, and then pour your pure vegetable oil into it. You want just enough oil to cover your chicken wings, so adjust it accordingly. Heat your oil to 375 degrees Fahrenheit, or 190 degrees Celsius. While your oil is heating, take out a saucepan, and then pour into it the real unsalted butter, Cholula Original Hot Sauce, coarse ground black pepper, and ground garlic powder. Stir these ingredients together over low heat until a thick and even sauce forms. Remove the sauce from the burner once it is done. You will now want to take out a mixing bowl, and then pour into it the white all purpose baking flour, ground red paprika, ground cayenne pepper, and fine ground table salt. Sift these ingredients together, then roll each lean chicken wing into this breading. Place the breaded wings into a glass dish, then slide the dish into the refrigerator to chill for half an hour. Once your chicken has chilled, you will want to fry your wings for roughly fifteen minutes, or until they are crispy and golden. Once your wings are warm enough to handle, dredge them in the buffalo sauce that you prepared earlier. Thanks for checking out this classic recipe.
